Decided to sign up today. Apart from the occasional buffering hickups the overall content, quality, and experience of the lecturers is great and I am hoping to see a lot more content from you guys soon. Cheers. -Art

Just a thought it could be worth having a technical help section in the forums for people to post in if they are having workflow issues, training issues or just general software issues. I have noticed a couple in various threads it would be useful to have them in one place.

Happy to help it seems fine if you do it on the first page of the thread but if you did it to a post on the second page it will just take you onto the first page

@Malcolm, thanks again for pointing this out, like a mini-BOSS.
It should now be resolved.

Yup I'm awesome at life. Thanks for pointing that out. It was removed today though to make room for the new release.... nothing to see here, move along!

Hi,

Maybe I'm just easy to please but I've really enjoyed the site. Since I was fortunate enough to receive a subscription, I've been checking your tutorials out like crazy. Very in-depth, covering lots of great features. I've got a lot to improve on, especially speed, but I want to focus on quality first and 3dMotive is definitely helping me to get there.

The forum is a great touch, didn't realize that it wasn't a part of the original site. It's great because you can get better and more critiques than at a lot of other sites that become too cluttered. I suppose it's a "catch-22" because I want you guys to get as many subscribers as possible so that the tutorials can keep on coming, yet I appreciate the smaller community here as well. Bleh.

I do get an issue now and again where, when watching say Chapter 10, once the video is done instead of moving on to Chapter 11, the player jumps back to the very beginning. Minor issue for me as all I have to do is, you know, click, but figured I'd throw that in there.

Good stuffs, you've made me satisfied to be sure!

@Craig Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like it. We are trying to improve the site/content as much as we can. There is so much we want to do yet we are a small team so it's difficult to tackle everything at once. For those same reasons, we really do appreciate the help with you guys pointing out stuff like that. It took us a good while to end up with the video page as it is so I am sure there are some bugs that we have just overlooked. I will try to see if I can repro this and hopefully have a resolution quickly.

Also, I just want it to be known that we are really blown away with the loyalty that we have seen from the members here. We try very hard to push out what we believe to be great content and we are glad that you guys see it that way too. We have some guys on here that are just reppin us so much that it seems like we sponsored them or something. It's because of the support that we have gotten that we keep trying to improve. It's not perfect and we have quite a lot to work on, but know that we are definitely trying and that we are grateful for your support. You have prooved the justice of our culture. Now go rest our heroes.

Just finished my first run-through of the new animation tutorial - good stuff guys.
Glad you went with a character with a weapon and cloth - alot of other tuts. I have seen; only do walk, run, jump, etc. animations.

Briefcase tutorials are well done - that was thorough insight of the workflow.

Alex Moody explained things well - trying not to make the tutorial, prop specific.

Hey Guys,

Create site, just gave the 1 month plan a try!
Though already there are some issues or thoughts I have that fit perfectly into this topic:

1. I did not get a confirmation box asking if I am sure that I want to buy the chosen subscription plan.
Seems very very dangerous since if I accidentally select the 1 year plan. I instantly get billed a massive amount.
This might have to do with how I tried to subscribe though: I started with a free account (without credit card info). I selected the 1 month plan but received an error that something was wrong. So then I first added my credit card info. However, directly after sending it, I was instantly billed for the 1month plan. Without me accepting anything, or without me clicking on the chosen plan. You would think that when you get an error, that the choice is cancelled.

2. My credit card bank also directly contacted me by phone after my credit card got billed. They didn't give much info. But in general this only happens if the company that billed the credit card is not verified, or marked as criminal. so yeah..

3. Would be nice to have some information on the top of the site showing if your are using a free or payed account.
The only feedback you have now is that the video's are unlocked. but that isn't viewable from the main page.

4. Got an idea that might be nice. I bet others have also suggested this. But I'm lazy and haven't seen the entire topic. Anyhow, perhaps build a system where you can see which videos within a tutorial you have seen. and which tutorials you have completed.

That's about it for now. :)

Just joined today and am very pleased with those tutorials, can't wait to try to practice along side. Keep up the good work, so far i've experienced no errors.

You might want to remove the browse button for the avatar in profile, as it doesn't show up anyway if you upload one. Still gotta figure out why the one i've uploaded through that avatar service doesn't pop up.

@Robert:

1) Thanks for pointing this out. You took a path I don't we thought about too much. We most likely should not be showing you upgrade options until a card is on file. If you had one already setup though you would have gotten an upgrade box and confirmation. Sorry about that.

2) We use Authorize.net for process payments. Depending on what country you're in, yes it's very hard to get 'whitelisted' as a merchant. I presume you're in Europe?

3) Good point. We should be able to add that easily.

4) Sounds cool ;) . Frak has been working out some ideas on this recently. Maybe he'll have something to share in the near future!

@ John - Great to hear. For the avatar bit, just be sure to check the dimensions and filesize. We know the uploader is not great but it should work if those two elements are met. Sorry for the trouble!

hey,

yes, I'm in Europe.
It's good to hear that you guys are working hard on the site :)
Great job!
