Hey there,
I am having a bit of (a lot of) trouble with packages.
I'm trying to clean up my content package and I have (had) a map I was working on, and due to external references, it would not let me save because something in the package was external I tried to export, etc, and anyways I just said F IT and deleted everything. :/
I want to start building my materials again from scratch and avoid these issues.
What initially got me into trouble was getting a map compile error because my package was over 300MB. (doh, lol I know that's big)
After a quick search, I realized I needed to split my content up. When I tried splitting things up was when I got into a big mess.
I don't know if the subject requires a tutorial or anything, maybe I am the only one here with the problem.
What I'd like to know specifically is the following:
how do I approach creating groups? Groups of textures?.. groups of materials? Subgroups?
What exactly is that "new packages" folder in the content browser? Is that a temp location?
How do I internalize external references so that I can save my work properly?
Also, anything I didn't list that I should know concerning packages.
Thanks!
~s
