Hi there, i haved follow this tuts and the result is pretty impressing...

Now i would like to do a tileable texture of roots/ ivy type of covering vegetation. i'd like to make it for using in a vertex paint shader.
Like these i could cover my Floor where i want with these roots textures...

Until now i've tried to do it like these:

Make à tileable alpha of roots inside photoshop.
Export it in zbrush and apply it to a plan
sculpting the plan to have a good normal..

I would like to know if someone have a better idea for the process...

Sorry for my bad english...

Just experiment with what you have created. Experiment using the material tutorial on this site - that shows you how to do vertex paint.

Sometimes it is not as easy as just making a simple tileable texture when working with "organic" textures.

Maybe post what your results are - then maybe someone can comment directly on your results.
